After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

When Kevin and Connie first started dating over 4 years ago, one of the first dates he planned for them was an escape room with a bunch of their friends. Connie was not into the concept of Escape Rooms and resisted any suggestions at trying one out. After he forced her into trying her first ever escape room (which they didn’t even escape from), she was completely hooked…on both the escape room experience and her new beau. They started doing escape rooms and puzzle hunts together all the time.
In the beginning of their relationship, Kevin showed her just how fun working together to solve puzzles can be. It’s only fitting that he completely created his own escape room-style puzzle hunt with the ultimate prize being a ring at the end of it. They solved a series of puzzles “together” that became increasingly (yet subtly) suspicious and ended with the opened locks flipping over to spell out “WILLL U MARRY MEEE”.
Connie had thought about this moment so many times in the past that she completely burst into tears as she realized the love of her life was now down on one knee grinning from ear to ear with a penguin engraved ring box open in his hands.

>>-Danielle + Matt–> Engaged!! Marin Headlands & Fort Baker Session

When a couple starts a session by saying they are awkward in front of cameras I automatically think to myself, “This is going to be the BEST shoot EVA!” That is not a sarcastic thought, but a genuine-super-excited thought. I translate that to, “We do not take ourselves too seriously and we totally trust you […]

When a couple starts a session by saying they are awkward in front of cameras I automatically think to myself, “This is going to be the BEST shoot EVA!” That is not a sarcastic thought, but a genuine-super-excited thought. I translate that to, “We do not take ourselves too seriously and we totally trust you to do your thang!” From the very 1st picture I took, I knew Danielle & Matt were gonna do great. They totally focused on each other, made each other laugh, and just had fun with every situation I put them in. They are a super cute couple and I love that they changed into something more comfortable for the 2nd look: Lulu Lemon attire! So I naturally made them do things that heels and tight jeans wouldn’t allow 🙂 I had a blast with these two taking them to all my favorite spots from Bonita Point Lighthouse to Fort Point. It was an epic day and I am so pumped for their wedding!

What a perfect day to get married! With the venue’s country charm, perfect weather, and sweet bride and groom, we loved every minute of it! After the father of the bride did his speech, we felt like we knew the bride our whole lives. His speech was beautiful, mentioning the ups and downs of relationships and giving advice to them. The sunset romantics were a blast as per usual. I know they had fun making out and dancing in the golden light of the field. The coordinator/granddaughter of the owner was amazing to work with and was so incredibly kind and down to earth. She helped with family formals and all of the romantics.

I always love finishing an amazing wedding with a grand sparkler exit! Sparks were definitely flying as they kissed and hugged between all the lights! After the magical ending, we got huge hugs from the bride and groom and felt as though we had just made two new friends! Congrats Lauren & Matthew!
