Just when I thought I had heard all the romantic proposal stories there were to hear, Marjorie goes and drops her Nicholas Sparks-esque proposal story on me!  All I could do was lift my jaw off the floor and ask for more details!  But first some background. They met through a couple of mutual friends, which is always most of the time a recipe for success when it comes to finding love, especially if your friends thinks highly of you 😉  Rob first noticed Marjorie at their mutual friend’s dinner party, but didn’t get a chance to talk to her unfortunately.  But have no fear, Halloween was approaching and her name was on the guest list of people who would be attending his party! Let’s face it, if that Modern Dracula costume doesn’t give you the confidence needed to strike up a conversation with the Shanky Prisoner you’ve had your eye on, then nothing will.  Let’s just say Dracula and the Prisoner hit it off that night with no blood shed.  And thus began their love story…which leads me back to where we started.  After a year and a half of dating he took her to a nice dinner.  No, he did not propose in the middle of the restaurant with the ring hidden in her dessert.  When they got home she walked into what looked like a fantasy suite for The Bachelor complete with hundreds of candles flickering their soft glow on every last flower he could get his hands on in San Francisco.  You name it, that flower was in her apartment.  The romance of it all just makes me so giddy!  I saw a video of the room with my own eyes and it looked out of this world!  Right there in the middle of a candle lit secret garden he asked her to be his wife.  She. Said. Yes!
That’s where I get to come in! Â I was chosen to shoot their upcoming wedding in October! They wanted to do a formal engagement session slash pre wedding photos so we went to The Legion of Honor, Lover’s Lane in the Presidio, and the grand finale at Treasure Island for some city skyline shots. Â I got to ride in the car to all the locations with Marjorie and I am pretty sure we are Bffs now 🙂 Â These two are so fun to hang with and obviously a perfect match! Â Oh, and let’s not forget their playful and adorable dog Dotsy, who wore a flower crown for the occasion!
