Leanna loves playing soccer so when she saw an opportunity to sign up for a co-ed team in Chicago, she jumped at the opportunity.  She made a lot of good friends on this team, including a guy named John.  Their shared love of soccer, competition, and steak was the foundation of a great friendship that was starting to bloom.  They began dating about a year later when the timing was right for both of them.  Seven months later Leanna found out she’d been given a job offer too good to pass up in California.  John knew that Leanna was too good to pass up as well, so he moved with her!  If that isn’t the ultimate testament of commitment and love then I don’t know what is!  After a couple years of adjusting to their new lives in California, John asked Leanna to take a day off of work telling her it would be nice to just relax and hang out together.  It wasn’t until the night before their day off, that John told her to pack her bags for a weekend away!  Leanna was thrilled!  She had so many questions racing through her head wondering what he had planned.  When they got to the airport she realized where they were going…Laguna Beach!  This was a favorite place of theirs with each trip being more special than the last.  John pulled out all the stops renting a mustang convertible for their drive down the coast, a hotel suite with ocean views, and of course reservations at Laguna Beach’s finest steakhouse!  Leanna was in a state of euphoria all day with each surprise just as amazing as the last.  Just when their day couldn’t get any better, they ended the evening strolling along the beach listening to the crashing waves roll in.  As they were ending their walk, John gave her a big hug and told her how much he loved her…and…proposed!  It was truly the most epic weekend filled with celebration and excitement for all that was to come.
These two are beautiful inside and out!  ‘Meant for each other’ is simply an understatement.  You could just feel the love surrounding them from the ceremony to the heartfelt speeches.  One of my favorite moments of the day was photographing all of the emotion escaping John as watched his breathtaking bride walk towards him.  It is emotional moments like that where being a trained photographer slash cryer comes in handy for me! I am so happy for Leanna & John and so excited to share the story of their day through images!

It sat beautifully with the mansion’s existing decor.  If you are dying over Leanna’s dress like I was, it is made up of layer upon layer of tulle mixed with lace!  It is by Enzoani.  To see more from this wedding head HERE.  […]
