After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

OH My Goodness, I seriously love these two!  They pretty much sum up everything that the word “Love” means with just one look into each other’s eyes!  They are like two peas in a pod, like butter and popcorn, like wine and cheese…you get the point!  One is just not the same without the other.  […]

OH My Goodness, I seriously love these two!  They pretty much sum up everything that the word “Love” means with just one look into each other’s eyes!  They are like two peas in a pod, like butter and popcorn, like wine and cheese…you get the point!  One is just not the same without the other.  I found myself smiling non stop as I photographed these two.  Plus I find their senses of humor to be hilarious!  I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I think they did too!  I could tell that as long as they were holding each other it was as though me and my camera weren’t even there…a huge testament to their relationship!  We had a great time out at Fort Baker one of my favorite photography spots, as well as downtown Sausalito.  Thanks for sharing your time with me and being so easy to photograph!  Can’t wait to do it again in 5 months or so!  Go GT and MIT!

Kelly & George ~Engaged!!~ San Francisco Engagement Session

They met the old fashioned way…a blind date…organized not by a computer, but you know, a person.  You’re probably wondering if their courtship was then followed by hand written letters mailed to one another?  No, but the way their story developed was just perfect.  Kelly’s brother in law decided to play Cupid and gave his good friend, George, her number.   Her brother in Law was a good guy and probably had great friends, she thought to herself as she nervously got ready for her first blind date.  As the date unfolded they found that they had a lot in common, but neither one was seeing wedding bells…yet.  A week later they went on date #2 and before they knew it, date #2 turned into 9 dates in 2 weeks.  They explored new restaurants, the outdoors, and most importantly discovered that there was more than a great friendship developing.  3 months later, as Kelly describes it, George was in love.  I get to witness a lot of things in front of my camera & there is no denying that Wednesday night, my camera & I witnessed 2 friends deeply in love.  Most importantly, it was obvious they truly liked each other too!  Some might argue, (my brother, who is getting married in 8 days, for instance) that the latter is just as important Love.  One thing is for sure, Mother Nature blessed us with a gorgeous day filled with golden light, bridges, and a family of deer.  Thanks and wishing you both an amazing wedding day November 4, 2014 in Hawaii!! The shadowy haze of the golden sun was just out of this world.

Oh Deer!

Jumping side hip bump obviously!  When you rule at life, why not?

Erin and Johnny.  A love story that started long distance, but eventually brought together by a twist of fate.  Although it can be hard to lose a job, sometimes it is just the catalyst one needs to catapult you toward your destiny.  Erin looked at one closed door in Denver, Co as an opportunity to open another door in the Bay Area and be with her Love.  Now Erin is with her man, has a new job she loves, and  both are ready to start their lives together!  I just loved getting to know them and hearing their story.  It really is great to see how everything always works out for the best even when it isn’t always so clear what good awaits in the future.

We hit the beach in San Francisco on the most amazing day of the year!  The bridge was out in all her glory for us, so we took full advantage!  The sunset was absolutely gorgeous!  The sky was bright shades of pink and orange as the sun sunk into the ocean’s horizon.  I am so excited to share these pictures of Erin and Johnny!

Holy Smokes!! That’s all the comes to mind when I think of how smokin’  hott this couple is and how vibrant and comfortable they were in front of the camera!  It was one of the most colorful shoots I have ever done as we did a whirl wind tour of North Beach to the Golden Gate Bridge!  Not only were Sonia and Eric, the Bride and Groom to be, amazing to work with, but having one of San Francisco’s finest wedding photographers, Stephanie Secrest (http://secrestweddings.com/photography/) there to lead the way was such a gift!  We started our day on Sonia and Eric’s rooftop which had amazing views of the famous San Francisco skyline as well as views of Saint Peter and Paul, the cathedral they will marry in!  This same rooftop was where Eric also surprised Sonia by kneeling on one knee and asking for her hand in marriage!  So of course we had to relive that special moment!  After heading to some special spots in the heart of North Beach we headed to the Golden Gate bridge where we met yet another talented photographer, Edwin Borbon (edwinborbon.com)!  It was an amazing shoot from start to finish and I couldn’t be more happy with how the day went and how the pictures turned out!  Sonia and Eric only live a block away from me and I can already tell there will be many more fun times to come!
