After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

Welcome Baby Grant!  You arrived on a very cool weekend in San Francisco…Fleet Week!  Maybe the roaring jets encouraged you to make your debut!  Your parents are awesome and so is your big furry bro Stanley!  I can tell he is going to be a good guard dog for you!  We had such a great session together!  You were so easy to photograph as you slept soundly.  And when you were awake, you just observed the camera clicking around your beautiful blue eyes.  It was a pleasure meeting you and I cannot wait to see you again!  I’m pals with your mom, so our paths will cross soon 🙂

P.S.  Your room is the BEST!  Your mom made your mobile from scratch from pieces she found in Nepal and lots of your cool decor was collected from all the places your parents traveled while you were in the womb!

Connor came into this world to the two most loving parents! I have gotten to know them through photographing all their milestones beginning with their engagement! They are fun, loving, strong, and generous people who now can pass all those amazing qualities on to their son. We did a baseball themed maternity session which suited this lil’ angel perfectly, not only because he is just the sweetest lil’ guy, but because he too will follow in his dad’s footsteps as an Angels fan one day!  I couldn’t be more happy for Shannon and Jon!  They are already amazing parents and I cannot wait to watch their son grow up! Here are some of my favorites from our session.  Connor was 14 days old in these photos.

Photographing 3 month old Baby Zoe was only one of the many reasons why this had to be one of my favorite 4th of July weekends!  We went to Steamboat Springs, Co to visit my husband’s sister and her husband, not only to celebrate with them, but also to experience this amazing part of Colorado in all it’s summer time beauty!  When one of Jett’s close friends wanted pictures done during my visit, it was like the icing on the cake to an already amazing weekend.  Taking pictures of little angels like Zoe is not considered work at all in my eyes, but a mini vacation from an adult world where decisions have to be made and deadlines need to be met.  What made this shoot so fun was the constant smile and wide eyed curiosity that Zoe had.  I think she was mesmerized by the lens eyeball opening and closing as I captured her little soul.  I absolutely loved the colors of this session from the multi colored owl beanie to the bright turquoise tutu (we can thank good ol’ Gymboree for the latter)  To top it off, they lived on a hill overlooking rolling hills and snow capped mountains perfect for a few shots in a red wagon filled with wildflowers!  Zoe’s mom has such great taste and put together some really great outfits and props! Here are a few of my favorites from the day!
