After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

YeaH!! So excited to introduce Baby Jackson to you!  Lauren is one of my all time favorite people EVER!  We go all the back to Cal Poly where we were roommates/sorority sisters and then we wanted to the fun to keep going so we shared an apartment in SF for 5 years!  Yada yada yada…now we are both moms and the fun/crazy never stops! haha.  We did the session at their new home in SF which I hadn’t seen yet so I got the tour while we photographed all around the outdoor living areas.  Jackson has the BEST big brother ever!  I could tell Lee already knew how to be gentle with his baby bro and did a great job helping me get shots.  I cannot wait to hang with these guys again soon!

I first met Lindsay through using their wonderful Airbnb in North Beach!  I was pregnant and my whole family got the flu, so my husband thought it best to “exile” me for a bit.  Lindsay’s place just down the street from us, happened to be available and she was so incredibly nice and accommodating! We have a mutual friend and when she found out I was a photographer, booked a family session with me!  It was so fun meeting the rest of her crew!  She and her husband Vince, have the most adorable 19 month old son who rocked the shoot with the help of his toy car and snacks!  I always bring snacks to my shoots too!  Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sara came as well completing the party 🙂  We had beautiful weather and good times out at Fort Baker.  I am so happy I had the chance to meet these wonderful people and capture their growing family!

Little Man Hendrix of San Francisco is the coolest cat around.  He is the offspring of some of my favorite people Miranda & James, whose wedding I also got to shoot a couple years back!  Hendrix and my son Micah actually hung out when they were like 4 months but they mostly just layed there like two blobs wondering when their next meal would be.  Hendrix had an admirable amount of hair back then, but now it has reached a new level of amazing.  It is silky with waves, has a touch of sun and long enough to go up in a bun.  No, I did not steal that line out of a children’s book 😉  But now I have an idea for one!  Anyway, James reached out to me for a mother-son photo shoot, a gift for Miranda for Mother’s Day.  Very sweet and the perfect gift!  Hendrix is learning to walk, but for the camera he was walking as if he had been doing it for months!  A little wind and a stylish fedora did not slow him down.  He even stopped the shoot so he could give a hug and high five to a random guy in the park.  I’m pretty sure that dude’s heart cracked open!  After hanging at the park, we did an outfit change and hit up Fillmore street where they like to stroll.  Such a perfect day with this dynamic trio!

Just getting in a quick rep before he hits the slide.  No big deal, but he’s 13 months with perfect pull up form.  I mean look at those crossed ankles!
