I was reading the new Jasmine Star Magazine called ‘Exposed’ on our way to Fresno for Christmas and it really spoke to me in so many ways.  A lot of what I took from reading about her personal photography journey and her rise to success was to take risks…to just “jump and a net will appear.”  I think about pursuing photography full time and leaving the 9am-5pm job.  The thought is scary…No TERRIFYING!  It  freaks me out to give up security of a consistent pay check and health insurance…but nothing ventured, nothing gained right?  How strong is that net anyway…cuz what if I decide to jump in my snow shoes with my 5 pound weights in each hand?
But there was something else I took from reading ‘Exposed’, something so powerful and yet so simple! Â She said to figure out your personal assets and use them to your advantage in your photography business. Â As I read that, I literally gasped and nearly caused Matt to drive off the road. Â He thought he was about to run over a puppy the way I reacted. Â He is used to it though cuz sometimes if I see an awesome cloud I do that same thing. Â Anyway, back to the gasp…I felt like suddenly Jasmine had told me, “HellllooooOOO! Â Heather, see that light bulb that has been above your head for the last 2 years? Â Grab it!” Â I started talking a mile a minute to Matt about this idea I had and we both knew right then and there that this was how I could marry my Passion for Photography and my Love of Fashion!
There is something so VERY special about a bride on her wedding day. Â She is drop dead gorgeous, she is elegant and oh so fashionable. Â She is graceful and the belle of the ball. Â She brings tears to her grooms eyes when his eyes meet hers for the first time. Â She stops everyone in their tracks as she walks by. Â She is the most important person in the world on her wedding day. Â There is nothing I love more to be a witness to that beauty and nothing I love more than preserving it.
I am super nervous right now…eek! Â But here it is! Â The light bulb idea brought to life.
