He contacted her on an online dating site and unfortunately, Yesabel was just not feeling it. Â That is, until Fate intervened and pulled them together like two magnetic strips. Â Everything changed one day when she was on the treadmill working up a sweat. Â She received a text from Nick…the guy from the dating site.
Nick had been pumping iron when all of a sudden he saw that same gorgeous girl he’d reached out to from the dating site.  Was it really her, he thought?  He had to find out.  Yesabel, read the text…it was Nick.  He was at the gym right now!  “Where is he?” she thought.  “How do I look?  Do I tell him I’m here?” She scanned the gym and spotted him.  She replied to his text confirming that indeed it was her on the treadmill.  And there it was between drops of sweat and barbells that these two met in person for the first time.  The connection that was not there online was so powerfully strong in person.  They instantly became inseparable.  They discovered that they both worked at Duke University AND lived on the same street!  Whaaaaaat?!  Yes, fate is funny like that.  If you are bound to meet, you will.  If not online, then at the gym.  If not at the gym, then at work, and if not at work, then walking your dog along the street you live on.  I know this story is one their future kids will ask to hear over and over and over again someday.  Congrats Yesabel & Nick!  It was so great watching you relive your proposal at Lands End!
It was a cold and foggy day in the city when Nick took Yesabel to this very same spot to profess his love and ask her to be his wife.
