Every girl, well almost every girl, daydreams about who her future husband will be. Â I used to wonder what he would look like. Â I mean if everything lined up according to the notes in my journal from 9th grade then my future husband was going to be tall, tan, green eyes, defined groin lines, straight white teeth and of course Christian….I think the list might have even included the profession of surfer and sun bleached hair of course! Â However, Â no where in my memory or journals do I ever mention any requirements for my future in-laws. Â It is a part of the deal we just don’t fantasize about, but we really should! Â Marrying into a great family is equally important to a husband with straight white teeth! Â Ok not really, but I’m allowed to have my fetishes right? Anyway, meeting Matt’s parents for the first time not only reinforced what an amazing man I had fallen in Love with, but also convinced me that I indeed would marry this man! Â Let’s face it, we have all had the conversation with coworkers about the in laws being in town and it never seems to be a topic of joy. Â I can honestly say I am an anomaly among friends because it is truly something I look forward to! Â Heading to Fort Collins for Uncle Louis’s 70th Birthday and retirement meant I would meet more Scharfs! Â I was a little nervous to be the one not everyone had met yet. Â I am a little too goofy at times, maybe say things a little too out there to get a laugh…but it turns out I fit right in and by the look of this picture, not sure I stand out at all 🙂 Â I truly am blessed to be a part of this family of love and laughter! Â This was an attempt to use the tripod and timer. Â I try and avoid the tripod at all costs, but hey, it beats photoshopping myself into the family photo 🙂
