Now being featured on The Knot! Check it out HERE!
It all started online…not what your thinking though.  The conversations they had back and forth from their computers were of the more serious type…work related.  It was like a modern day “You’ve Got Mail” situation with a twist…Ahhh, their story has me hoping it rains today so I can cuddle up to that movie and wish for the 90’s to come back.  Anyway, ‘Pinging’ someone from your desk if you had a quick request was the most efficient way of communicating.  Now I realize some people might be worried at this word “Ping” that I am using.  It is not some weird thing that young kids are doing these days…it’s just a way of sending a note to a coworker that pops up on their screen.  Totally safe, 100% professional…kinda.  Sophie, curious whose face belonged to these quick witted words that often popped up on her computer screen, looked Ryan up in the company directory.  There He was.  The face to the name that she would some years later take as her own.  Suddenly urgent business needs turned into just about any excuse to Ping each other.  She had to meet him…in person.  Luckily the company party rolled around and there they were together face to face for the first time with a room full of people.  They were hitting it off and the attraction for each other was growing.  They laughed and had moments where they looked into each other’s eyes and saw a future of…
WINE….Red Wine all over Ryan’s WHITE suit. Â Someone had bumped Sophie and inevitably her wine flew out of her glass and found it’s new home on the whitest surface. Â Obviously, Sophie immediately started to pat down Ryan with a cocktail napkin, (insert awkward moment number 2) but her efforts were lost as the moment was gone and the wine had made it’s lasting impression…and so had Sophie.
I laughed so hard I cried when I heard their story.  I will never forget it and will most likely tell it every time wine spills…Sorry guys 😉  Sophie and I were in the same Club (dare I say Sorority) in college and was a year behind me.  I always thought she was super stylish and funny, but never really got a chance to get to know the extent of all her awesomeness until her wedding.  She has an eye for details, a sense of humor that is priceless, and found a man that is just perfect for her.  I adore these two and found myself laughing behind the camera the whole night!  Congrats Sophie & Ryan!
Loved the nods to their shared love of sailing…in fact, instead of a Honeymoon they sailed the British Aisles with all their friends on a “Friend Moon”
I mean…these two are just a cup full of joy!
That moment you realize your brother/officiant is not joking when he tells you he does not have your wedding vows, and yes, you are going to have to wing it.
