“Who is this cute spin instructor my friends keep telling me about?” thought Janay. Â Once again the name Rory had come up, and it was beginning to become quite apparent that she was the last of her friends to meet him. Â He was in her best friend’s classes in college, worked at their gym, and most important lived with the bartender at Janay’s favorite bar, Bulls Tavern. Â Janay and Rory were destined to meet, and that they did after college on October 20, 2005. Â What better place to finally bump into each other than on a snowboard at the top of a hill. Â The only thing wrong with this romantic meet up is that Janay had no idea how to snowboard! Â You know you have found LOVE when the dude takes time out of his snowboarding day when the powder is “epic” to help his future wife down the mountain. Â Although their first year of dating was long distance, their love continued to grow and Janay’s snowboarding continued to get better 😉 Â Now 6 years later and a beautiful son between them, they are on their way to many more years of laughter, Gorilla Costumes, and snowboard trips!
No words can describe how amazing this wedding was…I guess if you knew Janay and Rory, describing them would be pretty close to how I would describe this day!  It was full of horsing around, bull riding, costumes and of course a “Shot Bar” and “Margarita Bar”.  Rory and Janay are known for their sense of humor and carefree approach to life.  It was an honor to be invited as a guest but most importantly invited to capture this amazing day and witness the fun loving vows they gave.  I have to admit, I did chock back a few tears when I saw Janay come down the stairs with her father to the song “Marry Me” by Train.  She looked so beautiful and watching their son, Jeramy, and Rory wait for her at the alter was just touching.  It doesn’t surprise me that I am getting emotional just typing this, as weddings on TV have me running to the kleenex box!  I am getting so emotional with age, but I think it is to my advantage at weddings cuz I am in the moment and just feel IT!  The details of the day were AMAZING!  Holland Ranch is a rustic venue complete with a field of  horses, a windmill, a man made lake and of course a huge barn filled with vintage beer signs and an old saloon inspired stage.  The venue needs little to no decorations, but I absolutely LOVED the handmade signs done on Etsy, the Bridesmaids purses made on Etsy, and of course the handmade Vow book made on…Yes, you guessed it Etsy!  Janay and I have a hidden obsession for that site and for good reason!  Her creativity really shined through with her idea of herding people to their tables with guests’ names on barn animal cutouts.  Of course there was a shark as Janay is obsessed with Shark Week!  One of the many highlights of the evening was Rory’s performance of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by the Rolling Stones, and let me tell you…this was American Idol final round quality!!
Like I said earlier, words can’t describe this wedding…well, except for the words used here, but there are much better words out there, I promise! Â Love you guys!
