After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

undefinedIntroducing Baby Mays!  He joined us on May 9th, 2011.  Named after the great baseball legend Willie Mays!  I can already see that he is gonna be a’Mays’ing himself!  It was so special for me to do this photo session for my friend Theresa and her husband! Theresa and I went to Cal Poly together…in fact she was one of the first people I met!  As soon as I stepped foot in her home, a huge wave of inspiration hit me like a wall!  There were so many beautiful pieces of furniture that I just had to incorporate them into our session!  Mays being only 13 days old, loved being swaddled and left to sleep…so we did our best to make sure he was warm and constantly cuddled to keep this precious boy happy and sleepy.  I am learning more and more with each newborn session, that they are all different and each baby sets his or her own pace for the session.  It is best to just roll with it and let them lead the way!  We did just that!  Mays wanted to stay wrapped up, so for those lil’ bare shots we had to act fast!  It was so much fun and a great learning experience once again, to photograph another little miracle!  Hope you enjoy this ‘little treasure’….
