After 'I Do'

Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

Welcome!

I am not a salesman, nor will I ever come close to being good at the power of persuasion…BUT when I believe in something, I will go out of my way to tell everyone about it until I have exhausted all my resources.  Boscia Facial Products, Shellac, & the Burger at Don Pistos will forever be something that I evangelize.  As a photographer, the one thing that I feel couple’s shouldn’t live without are Engagement Sessions.  I try to hold back my excitement toward them during client meetings in an effort not to be obnoxious…but deep down inside I am beyond overjoyed when couple decides to book an engagement session.

A Paper Proposal has given me a voice to reach newly engaged couples on the dilemma of whether or not to book the engagement session.  Check out the article to see why I would pass on a cheese platter and a glass of wine to shoot your engagement session…and that is saying A TON!

Last weekend I did an engagement session for Crystal and George here in San Francisco, Ca.  I was so excited they wanted to get shots of the Golden Gate bridge mixed with a metropolitan feel! However, the forecast was not looking pretty, as it usually doesn’t this time of year.  Friday I went to scope out the perfect location literally 2 feet from the bridge and when I arrived I said to myself, “I swear the Golden Gate bridge was here yesterday.”  It was no where to be seen!  The fog was so thick that not even a spec of the golden bridge was shining through.  However, all my worries for the following day’s session dissipated when I found this epic spot, Fort Point, where even in the foggiest of days, parts of the bridge could be seen.  Saturday rolled around, and so did the sun!  From the time I met Crystal and George to the time we parted ways, we were laughing and having so much fun!  They are a such a wonderful couple and so easy to be around.  I felt like I had known them for ages.  We were able to get so many different looks due to the beauty of the day and the proximity of each spot we went to.  Saturday was the most inspiring session to date, and I think in those hours I grew exponentially as a photographer.  Each time I pick up my camera, I am amazed at the power of photography and the way it has changed my life!  I am so thrilled with how these pictures turned out as every picture portrays this couple’s love for each other and the joy that they bring into each other’s lives.   Thank you, Crystal and George, for the experience and the chance to get to know you both!
