If you complimented Eurie on her shoes, she would take them off and insist you wear them and continue on barefoot, and if you were the new kid in class Jason would take you under his wing and make you feel at home. These are the type of people I had the honor of photographing. Eurie & Jason are like magnets of positivity and good energy and were married in a place that they hold near and dear to their hearts. Click HERE to see why. If I had to pick one place on Earth to spend all my time alone with my camera, it would be in Carmel…well, I guess my husband could come too 🙂 It has a certain beauty different than any other coastal town that makes me feel alive. When I get to shoot weddings there with couples as wonderful as Eurie & Jason, it is as though the stars have aligned just for me! This wedding was top notch and fully designed by Eurie herself! You are gonna flip when you see the invites and programs she created with Minted.com.
They were married on a Friday at the Mission Carmel amongst a few family and friends with the big wedding the next day at The Bernardus Lodge and Spa. This newly renovated venue is so elegant, chic, and romantic all at once. Their ceremony was in a blooming garden set in front of picturesque mountains and vineyards. I don’t think you can ask for much more beauty in one location! One of the most touching parts of the ceremony was seeing the seats in the front row reserved for Eurie & Jason’s fathers who both have passed away. Their presence was felt and recognized in a very special way. During the reception Eurie was in for the surprise of her life! Following their first dance, Jason pulled a chair on the dance floor for Eurie and to everyone’s surprise, Jason sang Never Stop, by Safety Suit to her with the live band playing behind them. If you have ever seen the face of a girl whose heart is melting a million times over, then you can picture how Eurie glowed as her handsome new husband serenaded her! She had no idea Jason could even sing like that and oh boy is he good! It was a wedding moment that I will never forget! These two filled the room with their love throughout the night as they stole kisses, looked into each other’s eyes and whispered what I imagined to be very sweet “somethings.” It was just the perfect celebration! Here is a snapshot of their wedding day story and all the fabulous details surrounding it!
Her bother, Eugene, had the honor of walking Eurie down the aisle.
I love when I catch couples sneaking secrets during the ceremony!
Nothing seals the deal better than a high five in my books!
Day two at Bernardus Lodge…
A way to carry their fathers with them throughout their wedding day…
Since Jason will be taking his wedding ring on and off a lot for work and will inevitably lose it, Eurie got him 26 more so there is never any excuse not to have it on! Brilliant!
Obsessed with their invites! I have never seen print mixing on the back sides and think it is perfection! It went so well with the garden chic atmosphere of their wedding!
I loved the long flowing ribbons and corsages! What a special and creative touch! Shout out to hands free bouquets!
This was a very moving moment as Jason & Eurie paid a very special tribute to their wonderful mothers.
Is there anything better than that split second moment right before the first kiss as husband and wife?
I loved the table assignments elegantly written on the mirror as well as the well wishes and love notes written by the guests to the newlyweds.
