I know sunset is all the rage for family photos! Trust me, as a photographer who loves nothing more than that buttery, silky sunlight right before it sets behind the horizon, I get it! But let me introduce you to my little known friend, Blue Hour. This hour is actually just the 15-20 minutes AFTER sunset when you get the pink, orange, blue and purple sky that looks like a big swirl of cotton candy. THAT is blue hour and it is AH-MAZING! If you sign up for a one hour photo session with me, chances are you are going to get the best of Golden Hour AND Blue Hour like this family did! We even got a full moon! It was the most amazing evening surrounded by rolling hills of poppies, long flowy grass, a fabulous family and a picture perfect backdrop.
