As I enter the full time realm of family photography, I know that their will be a whole new set of things to learn and consider as I photograph families instead of brides and grooms. I am learning that photographing families, just like with weddings is filled with opportunities for creativity. In fact, I am finding more opportunities to stretch myself with families. The pace is slower and the lighting is typically perfect for the entire session which gives me a chance to try new things and be more intentional with each photo. The biggest change that I have enjoyed is the editing aspect. I can spend so much more time on each image!
I LOVED this Walnut Creek family session! Their little Claire was the toughest most driven little one year old I have ever met. She wanted to run, not walk, the entire time and it was like her heart wanted to go faster than her legs would take her and she took some good falls. She got right back up as if it never happened and kept going. Luckily we captured a lot of family photos right when we started because once she was warmed up, there was no time stopping for pictures! haha! I was fully impressed! It has been a joy watching this family grow from their engagement session, wedding, baby portraits to now having an almost 2 year old! Thanks for always choosing me! xoxoxHSP
