Sami & Phil chose the best possible way to start 2019 off…they got married!! They met in at high school. I’d like to think of them as high school sweet hearts version 2.0 The Teacher’s Edition! They both teach and coach sports at Saint Francis High School and met at the winter athletics dinner for coaches. Their paths had never crossed on campus until that night! Sami coaches basketball and Phil coaches cross country and track. Although Phil isn’t a winter sports coach, he was still invited to the dinner…and who wouldn’t want a free meal!? Food is always the way to a man’s heart and this was literally the case that evening. They sat next to each other and talked the whole night. They had an instant connection with each other and they both knew this was the real deal. They started dating and 6 months later he proposed! LOVE their story!
Their wedding day started out rainy with a chance of more rain. It didn’t seem to bother either of them one bit, since rain or shine they were gonna marry the love of their lives! One of my favorite moments was when the clouds parted at the exact moment that Sami walked down the aisle and the sun shone brightly on her through the church windows. It was a beautiful gesture from above. Not only did the clouds part during their ceremony, but we got the most amazing sunset on the beach in front of Sam’s Chowder House where their reception dinner was held. It turned out to be an amazing day from start to finish with rain, shine, and chance of lobster rolls. I absolutely loved being a part of their wedding day! Congrats Sami & Phil!
