Ahhhhh! I loved EVERYTHING about this October wedding! I knew it was going to be an amazing day from the very first email I received from Fawn. It was one of the nicest wedding inquiries I had ever received and was so flattered when she said I was her dream wedding photographer! Whaaaaat?! I know! Don’t worry, I have safely stored that compliment in my back pocket for a rainy day. Since the Scottsdale natives were planning a destination wedding at the beautiful Vintner’s Inn in Sonoma Wine Country, we did all our meetings over FaceTime and I learned very quickly how funny they were and that I needed to stay on my toes to keep up with Nick’s quick sense of humor. But it wasn’t until my dog, Birdie hit it off with their dogs over FaceTime that I knew Fawn & Nick were exceptional people 😉 Their wedding day was absolutely perfect! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I first saw Fawn in her Ian Stuart blue toned wedding gown that moved like soft ocean waves when she walked in it. There were layers upon layers of chiffon and silk mixed together like swirls of frosting. I hope she finds a reason to wear it again even if its just to sit at homeÂ and eat ice cream in it. I am in major need of a cupcake all of a sudden. Anyway, perfectly complimenting her dress was Nick’s 3 piece blue oxford suit and Converse kicks that had his nickname embroidered on them. Very original! I loved the groomsmen’s getup as well, all with suspenders, silk rosette boutonnieres, personalized tie clips & converse sneakers. It was a fun and absolutely gorgeous group of people to photograph! The ceremony was perfect with the most beautiful crystal chandeliers hanging over head with soft chiffon curtains framing the arbor. After a ceremony that had everyone both tearing up and laughing we headed to the vineyards for an UH-MAZING sunset! It was a very memorable day in my book and I cannot wait to share this blog with You! Congrats Fawn & Nick! It was a dream being a part of your wedding! #nickandfawnsayido
