There is no way for me to write a simple paragraph on this couple, but I hope the pictures can finish the thoughts that I cannot formulate. Â I absolutely LOVE them! Â Janay is one of my very good friends from college, and when I reminisce about the “good ol’ days” and the fun times with Janay, a huge smile comes across my face and I just laugh. Â Her bachelorette party is tomorrow and I already know more memories will collect in my bank for me to reach for when I need a good laugh. Â She has such an amazing outlook on life and is definitely someone that everyone wants to be around. Â So when I met Rory for the first time at the pre party for the Journey concert, I was not shocked to see that Janay had found someone just as goofy and full of life as herself. Â I went into this session very excited and not as nervous as I usually am because I knew that no matter what happened we would laugh a lot and just go with the flow. Â That we did!
I really wanted to call this session, “Rory’s First Time at the Beach” Â He was like a little kid running from the waves for the first time! Â I just loved it! Â There were times I had to take a moment to catch my breath cuz I was laughing so hard!
I tell all my couples to bring outfits to change into as well as any props that they want to incorporate into the shoot.  I was expecting Janay and Rory to show up in their famous gorilla suits, but instead they brought something a little more unexpected!  If you don’t already know this about me, I live for reactions!  I just love it when someone is blown away by something I have said, a story I have told, or simply speechless shock!  This time Janay got a reaction from me when she told me they brought a star fish!  This caught me so off guard that all I could do was laugh to get the dumb founded look off my face.  This is just one reason why I LOVE these guys!  The setting of Capitola Beach was the perfect backdrop filled with bright colors and interesting architecture with a  romantic vibe.  I just loved this shoot!  It was playful and light hearted…and of course I just loved Rory’s interpretation of cues that I was giving them for certain shots!  It made for some good laughs and fun pictures!  Enjoy this splash of color and sneak peak into the lives of Janay and Rory, my dear friends 🙂
P.S. I just loved the little old lady who walked right through our shoot several times! Â I just had to put a couple of them in here! Â Also check out the “Out Takes” at the end of this shoot 🙂
Introducing Patrick the star fish! Â He outgrew his tank and so Janay and Rory set him free…He is home now 🙂
And now for a new section I want to start inspired by Rory himself…The “Out Takes!”
I call this Rory’s “Go To” Move. Â Raaarrrr! hahah!

I thought the cute little old lady was one of cute couple’s grandmother. Wouldn’t that have been super cute idea? Maybe for your next shoot. Can’t wait to see your talents shine in two weeks!
Haha! That would have been great if that was their grandma! I should definitely make sure to tell couples to include any and all family for possible props! Can’t wait to see you two in 2 weeks! Looking forward to our chat on the 11th 🙂
